We are delighted to announce that Human Network International has grown too big to manage from our original headquarters in Madagascar and that last month HNI’s President and CEO David McAfee established HNI’s worldwide headquarters in Washington, DC.
David has hit the ground running and has already met with a wide range of partners in DC to talk about collaborations and conduct demonstrations: USAID, World Bank, Chemonics, Education Development Center (EDC), FEWSNET, and Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA), to name a few!
After an international recruitment process, Kellen Eilerts was selected as the new Country Director of Human Network International (HNI) to replace David in Madagascar.
“I’m very excited about the opportunity to lead HNI Madagascar with the backing of such a talented and motivated team. I look forward to maximizing the capacity of partners and communities in Madagascar to take full advantage of mobile technology.” – Kellen Eilerts
Kellen first joined HNI in December 2012 to support the expansion of the DataWinners service worldwide. He has over 4 years of professional experience in international development, and also served as a Peace Corps volunteer in rural Senegal.
“We at HNI believe Kellen is the right fit for the Country Director position in Madagascar and feel incredibly fortunate to have him aboard. Now I can devote my time to managing HNI’s exponential growth from our HQ in Washington… stay tuned!” – David McAfee
One exciting update from Washington involves signed headquarters agreements with Catholic Relief Services, Population Services International, and PACT. Some advantages to a headquarters agreement include price reductions for your organization and there’s no need for individual agreements to be drafted at the country level.
