Two clichés about TED talks:
- They are inspiring
- They are elitist
In the case of Mbolatiana Raveloarimisa’s talk at TEDx Antananarivo, she actually did inspire something — the least elitist thing imaginable.
Raveloarimisa is the mother of an autistic child. Her TED talk on autism was presented in French, but HNI invited her to record some messages in Malagasy for our 3-2-1 Service — to reach the rest of Madagascar with autism awareness.
Messages on autism awareness are now available to anyone in Madagascar with a mobile phone.
Airtel Madagascar subscribers can dial 321, follow the prompts, and listen to three messages recorded by Raveloarimisa in our sound booth here in Antananarivo:
- Inona no atao hoe Autisme? (What is Autism?)
- Ahoana no fomba ahafantarana raha autiste ny zaza iray na tsia? (How to tell if a child is autistic)
- Inona ny tokony atao raha heverina hoe autiste ny zaza? (What to do if you think child autistic)
Like all messages on the 3-2-1 Service, these messages are easy to understand, curated by experts on our content committees, and represent the most trusted knowledge available on the topic.
